Minnesota!

We got about 5" total and now the wind is howling so the snow drifts should be fun in the morning. I'm sad it will be so cold after our first big snow this year... too cold for us to go play in it tomorrow.

I have the south facing window in the coop open for ventilation. Hopefully it will be enough venting to keep them dry tonight with no frostbite on their combs.

It is too darn cold. We got close to 14 inches and now tempts of -8 tonite. My chickens are surviving with no heat. I use the heated dog dishes for the water. Plus I do give . Them some heated feed at night. I take all the powder lest over from there feed and make it into a.heated mash. No wast hear. They also get scratch twice a day with either carrots or cabbage. I leave the west, andsouth door open during the day for fresh air. Weather permitting. I too use the deep lit tree leave.can

weather.com app said -18 this morning. UFF-DA. We're all going to get climatized again. LOL.

Birdies want to stay in the coop this morning and roosting or snuggled in the SE corner of the coop. Not moving too fast or grabbing scratch and BOSS this morning.

It's going to be a LONG weekend.

Started a fire for the Birdies last night and this morning. Some of the chickens figured out that that end of the barn is warmer. The ducks And geese have not figured it out yet. Kept everyone inside today. It was still -20 at 9:30 this am.

I live in Minnesota too!!! I live about 3 hours southwest from the twin cities!!! can I get a
