I did my eggtopsy today. All eggs dead... But one. It was an EE egg and it had fully absorebed the yoke sac and most of it veins but could not pip. Is this scissor beak or different deformity??
This time of year is just risky for chick ordering through the mail IMHO. I know that showing birds at fairs and such dictates getting birds early. But if not showing why not wait? Grandma wouldn't get hers until April.
Wow, do chicks even survive with such a beak? What are the options?
