Where in the north woods are you headed?

I would like to get back to Togo, but I have a wedding in Cloquet I need to go to this coming weekend, Grandkids in Duluth I need to babysit the weekend after. My overly educated, wrong headed politics, ivy league teaching, idiot brother is coming the next weekend... Which means I miss the Effie Rodeo again this year.......

The weekend after is Grand daughters birthday, the weekend after is other ones birthday, then the following weekend my redneck pain in the rear brother is coming...

So I am not going to get to spend a weekend at the cabin until November or so. I have only been to the cabin once (last week) in last 2 1/2 years. My DW has not been to it in 5-6 years. I figure each night we spend at the cabin costs us around 6 grand. We could almost rent a motel room for that.
 
We have not had much of a neighbor problem. The closest is about half a mile away and across pond

Our family lake place is on Little Alden lake, about 20 miles strait up county rd 44 from Duluth. Right on the Cloquet river.

ahh, That nice, Those of us in Togo, when I am there, Would call that a nice little southern lake, good place for bullheads.....

After reading about all the attacks all I want to do is keep my flock locked up.

Zeus has decided he hates Sunshine, the Cornish X. Keeps him separated from the flock.

My dumb question of the day, are we allowed to shoot racoons in Scandia city? Not up on my wild west gun laws.

And last, my gals are perching in the apple tree.
