Anyone want a trio of hatchery quality Welsummers. I want to sell them so I can expand my Cochin flock. 1 of the pullets lay the most beautiful eggs but the others look like ordinary eggs sadly. The one with the pretty eggs is a good layer but I cant tell how muvh the others lay. I am not in a hurry to sell them so it doesnt bother me if knowone wants them.

Ducks:1 year old Rouen & Kahki pairs. 9 week old Buff and Pekin trios. I hatched out some rouen & kahki eggs this spring from my adults so I have 4 of those.
Geese: 1 year old Toulouse, African and Tufted Roman. 9 week old Buff goslings.

I would not lock them in if it has not been a problem, just cause I like them to live as free as possible. Just know and understand something will kill one or all of them some night.

Along with my pullets starting to lay my one Partridge Brahma pullets got out of the chick pen without me knowing it; my German Shepherd was loose and she got a hold of her

I retrieved the bird but she had already ripped her leg and punctured her lung so she was already gone

So many colors!! Again I find myself being very jealous. Living in hell is not as great as you would think! I can only have 5 chickens according to my permit. :-(

Needing a permit to own a chicken seems UnAmerican. Maybe the right to keep and bare Chickens....

Looks like a nice set up! I get mine this week also. I am guessing I will get a 7:15 call that they are in tomorrow. I am expecting 35 but they usually send a couple extras.
