Hi @erlibrd ! You have the most gorgeous roosters. So I'm sure that one is a looker.
Rhetts I must say I will be offering up laundry services so I can see those kiddos after they go off to college or jobs or whatever. I'm going to be a horrible empty nester. Not looking forward to it at all.
I have some puppy training progress news. Sadie had a weak moment and actually it was a mixture of human error and not exactly her fault. But my DS threw her fetching toy out in the yard with my chickens spread out which caused Holly my BA to jump and flutter. Upon going to fetch the toy the dog went after Holly and other chickens. We proceeded to chase Sadie with a broom and chastise her. (She was pretty scared of the broom and the chastising--so hardly a spanking was needed) I felt really down in the dumps about the chasing and figuring I had my work cut out for me. Next morning she went with me to let out the chooks and she sat there looking at them. Not intense but then when I told her they were "Miiiine." She looked away from them. Today, same thing. Down to the coop with me. Sitting in the middle of chickenville. No chasing/ behaving beautifully.
So definitely she gets the energy for hunting and the energy for "Myyyy Chickens." Down in the dumps no more. Definitely optimistic. And I think she's going to hunt like crazy for DH and DS. She stalks, points, flushes, sits, stays, fetches. I almost hate to say this but she is easier to train than Jasmine ever was. She's a little sponge.
