Minnesota!

I dont want to toot my own horn or anything but I "had" a mole problem in my yard until tonight! I had killed two in a week with one of those noose traps, but the overcast evening gave me the opportunity to kill them with a shovel and a garden hoe. I sat out with a case of cheep beer on a lawn chair and binoculars and killed four of those little SOB's! Now I'm drunk and my yard is airated.

ohhhhhh, how in the heck could I entice you to come de-mole my yard? well heck, it wouldn't just be the yard....maybe just 3 or 4 or 5 acres...the suckers have gone wild and I keep hitting molehills with the mower. I watched a zillion you tubes about setting the traps and I am so spatially handicapped that I still can't figure them out not to mention being a little squeamish about impaling them. You must be fast if you could get to them with a hoe....

Don't offer him any alcohol, I think he's still suffering the repercussions from last night.

I found more lobster mushrooms and have them cleaned and chopped and ready to cook this morning but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't aprehensive. This would be my first time picking mushrooms from the wild

we were too KlopKlop. But we lived another day. We just used butter and garlic salt. Are some here on Wednesday night and they were delicious with veni steak.

You should make a farmer test!

Have you ever played Cow pie toss?
Do you know what it means to checking wire is for corn?
Why check corn?

BTW I have a bale carrier in my woodshed, the barn burned down 10 years ago.
Have you ever pulled a calf?
Do you know what that means?

Minnie could add to this list she is old farm kid too.

What is a witness tree?

Have you ever dehorned cattle?
How do you milk a 3 teated cow? (BTW I hate the clean word Teat, we never used that on our farm)

Have you ever used a dump rake?
Hay loader?

Why are IH tractors superior to Green ones? ( easy question)
What does row crop tractor mean?

Approximately how many bales went on a hayrack?

Where was a Minnesota manure spreader made?

When the baler miss ties a bale what do you do?

What does a hay conditioner do?

Why do you not feed wet clover to bovines?

Have you ever put your arm up a cows butt?

How many days after a cow freshens do you dump/or use on the farm the cows milk?

What happens when you get your "city" cousin to grab or pee on an electric fence?

What is surge famous for?

What was a hammermill used for?

What is swatting?

Bantiesrule some suggestion for the " I am a farmer test"
These 2 have me stumped unless swatting has something to do with a sloppy, wet cow's tail. Been there, done that.
Not such an easy question as you would think, We grew up with Case (before they became Case IH) and they pulled my cousin's green tractor out of the mud a few times. But, I'm afraid to say that I will not now give up my John Deere lawn mower. (Sorry Ralphie, but I really like it alot)
The rest I've either done, helped do, or seen done.

Is suspect swatter is a typo for 'swather' which is an implement that mows hay and leaves it in a pile. Some people call it a haybine or a windrower

I love chickens.

Those are some calendar chickens!!

I was just giving sample questions. those are not a quiz you are suppose to make the quiz bantie!

A witness tree is a tree close to a section line corner that is blazed or scarred with where the corner marker is. We had one here. I have no idea if it is true, but my Dad always use to tell us it was illegal to cut the tree. The one here is still here after the farm was turned into a sub-division. It was an old gnarly tree when I was a kid, I cannot believe it would last longer.

Klopklop I wish it was a typo, it was me guessing at the spelling. We called it swatting, everyone around her did. either that or the H is silent. Swatting was done just before "shocking' I remember that from when I was really young before we got a combine.

Are you going to tell me it is not shocking but Shockhing?
