Minnesota!

You are kidding me! When I had hen turkeys here they were all over the place and roosted all over and crapped all over. Would not be a choice for in-town.

I would love to see someone try keeping a peafowl in town. LMBO, would give the poor kids in the neighborhood, and possibly a few adults, nightmares with that sound they make! I, however, love to hear them.

There are some near my Florida home. I think some one raised them and they got free, they kind of took over a "park" wildlife area.

I am amazed your turkeys wandered. How did you get them to do that?

The only time my turkeys have been in the pasture is when they followed my DW and I out there.

If I let my BBWs out, I know they would wander too, but looking for the food bucket. They would stop once they reached that destination.
Speaking of my BBWs... All they want to do is fight this last week! I ended up with only 2, maybe 3 females, the other 12-13 are males and they are going at it every time I am out there. Stupid things. Funny has heck to watch though. One fella lost his snood early on from one of them grabbing it and not letting up, I think.

I've got the day off and spent the morning rebuilding the carb on my old Allis. All it took was 1/2 and 9/16 wrench, a flathead screwdriver and a pliers. Oh the good old days of simple mechanics!
The chickens of course lent a hand with some perching on the tailgate of my truck while I worked. They are a curious bunch. With Piper layed up they are much bolder. She is just laying there while they snoop around haha

It is apparent that this could not be settled in your mind until you had written the last response, but I feel the need to relate the only facts related to this for me are from first hand experience. I am not basing an opinion from what I have read somewhere. I am well aware how wolves hunt having witnessed it more than once.

Roger would poop his fluff if he had a Turkey standing in line behind him at the drive up window. (The kids do seriously treat out of that Window and play McDonalds there with a pearing knife and cutting board of grapes and a sleeve of crackers--No chicken nuggets sold there)

Minnie those white silkies are so neat. Ralphie. If ever you want a broody hen at your disposal any old time. Those girls right there can't help themselves after about the 14th egg. Bam! Broody again. My buff silkie has ovaries/hormones set like a German engineered watch. The timing is impeccable. Only thing about those little broody-bators though is they can only handle about 5 regular sized eggs. So-so cute.

Klop Klop you should post a picture of your Allis. Fun to keep them running nice and looking good, with a feathered audience no less.

FIL has one in his garage and I think I should take it out and clean it up. It's a reliable thing.

taking a lunch break from the annual mowing of the back field.

came in to find, what's this? disharmony on the Minnesota thread? arguing? uh-oh. let's play nice now!

I'm all excited because I found some cream gentian in the field. Had to mow around it, and the tree frogs, and the baby oaks, and.....

dug up the pitiful garlic crop, picked the raspberries, ignoring the tomatoes, and I/m thinking of digging the potatoes. still haven't made a pot of zuke potatoe soup yet and this is sure the weather for it.

They great wolf debate will always remain that way. And all heels are dug in. No sense in keeping it going on. Because opinions are like a------. Everybody's got one.

I don't want to go to another thread. I will get eaten alive. Yous my peeps.
