Minnesota!

Morning all, by the way! Coffee mug is courtesy of, well, The Inn on Lake Superior. I may have borrowed it....permanently.

You will now be known as MnNaughty

That is a beautiful boy from Holm. He does good work.
Good morning all. Yesterday I got pulled away from yard work, coop work, garden clean up work early to go to a birthday brunch in the morning (in St paul), and a wedding reception in Monticello in the afternoon. Am I the only one who now gets a little aggrivated when i can't stay home and work? My sister said I'm becoming a recluse. But there is only so much time in the day or fall, or summer, or spring... ;)
Ralphie, I feel for you. I've been avoiding that windows 10 button like the plague. But I know it is only a matter of time before my mouse accidentally clicks it. Terrible!
Have a great day everyone, should be another beautiful working day! (If people leave you alone) hahaha good luck!

So funny! I have the same problem on weekends!
No one is supposed to bother me so I can work outdoors on chicken coop stuff!

I am back!

I have to respectfully disagree on Windows 10 over windows 8. The best part about windows 10 upgrade is you can remove it within 30 days of installing it. I am back to windows 8.

The above post was on windows 10, I could quote but could not type anything. It was ugly! I never thought I would be happy to say I have windows 8!

Oh Yes! I want to be around the home place. Had to go to Upsala for a wedding yesterday. Beautiful day, beautiful couple. Good for them and I wish only good things for their future. Then it was church and breakfast this a.m. BUT! By 11:45 a.m. the DH and I were setting up to work on the new run for the birds. We pretty much worked all afternoon on it and yes, it is confirmed, my DH has crossed over to our side of the chicken coop. LOL. He takes something simple and adds his creativeness to it and now it is a whole big project. More than I ever expected. I raked long pine needles at the neighbors for a while and threw them into the coop Trying this instead of straw. He says that the chixs will love it and so far that does seem true. Busy days ahead so I will try to check in during the early a.m. or late p.m. Love reading the posts. Thanks everyone.

After doing some more tidying in the garage and around it where we pulled lots of stuff out the other day, I did chores, then went to the strawberry garden and helped DH to extend the strawberry rows and move new plants to them. We will need to thin in the Spring and I will be selling baby Strawberry plants, and probably fresh berries because we will never eat that many. I think we are going into the business of growing and selling small fruits. Our blueberry plants were still small this year, but they produced a few berries and we (DH, I always say we if it is him or us together, when I say "I" I mean me ;) ), just planted 5 more bushes last week. We started a new raspberry area last Spring and there are some nice looking berries on the reds that should be ready by tomorrow for me to have a snack.
I love doing my chicken thing, but I love to garden too and it doesn't seem that I have enough time to do both as much as I would like to. It's a bummer.

coffee, thats the thing....you think you are done, and you wish you did the foundation. but before you know it, you will have more chickens, or get ducks, or turkeys, or quails, or bantams, or.....and you will be making more pens/runs/coops. it does not stop.

And cluckies, it is gorgeous, the foundation and the run. Mine looks like tobacco alley.

I made progress today on chores. Finished the woodshed yesterday, and drove 75 miles in my old ford 150 farm truck (gas, gas, air in the tires, gas....) one way to get a half cord of oak. Stopped in mora on the way home to help some friends unload a new lawn tractor out of their pickup. The store used a forklift and loaded it in their pickup in a big crate, not assembled, and I don't think they thought until they got home about how the heck it was going to get out of the pickup truck.

Got home, unloaded the wood. cross one chore off the list, only 782 more to go before it snows.

Ralphie, I hate all software updates. on computers/laptops/tabets/phones ..... totally annoying. You have my sympathies.
