Why a women only gun class? Do we get pink shotguns?
k

I have no idea why, but they do make them.
I guess some women would rather avoid being around us terrible males.

I can't imagine anyone that really hunts using a pin gun, regardless of their sex. You would get a longer time to shoot at a buck though, as they would be laughing so hard at the gun they would forget to runaway.

Problem is I don't even have one shotgun... I am deprived. My thought was I could leverage her sudden desire to learn to handle a gun and bank on her needing a gun she could hit something with. I was thinking it would be a shot to get a 410 into the collection and maybe piggyback a 12 gauge while i was at it

It does bother me that I own guns and she refuses to even learn proper gun handling techniques but I guess I have to settle for her adamant refusal to even touch one.
I would say you have not taken advantage of her anger over the recent loss and set her up plinking some fun tin can targets. I would also say Kloppers you need to put on your big boy pants and just go get one.

Actually I can't imagine a farm not having a shotgun. There about as necessary as the tractor. Yeah. Explain it is a necessary tool for the farm.

I'd like to buy something for the house and coyote management but frankly, I'm ignorant beyond a .22.

Ralphie, isn't somewhere in your resume a course on guns?
.22 is my go-to gun. Not crazy about shotguns...but maybe I need to expand my horizons. DH is after me to utilize a shotgun instead for preds.

To those that have lost chickens: I'm always sorry to hear about it, every time I open the pen for free range time I get a little worry. But they love freedom :) and I love mine so ...
I would not trade my birds' freedom for anything. I love that they can go where they want. I'm with you.

That is terrible, sorry about your losses.

They offer women only gun classes, I took one in Rogers at the gun range there, a wonderful older lady held the class, I'll try to find the info. The rogers cabelas also offers them I believe, with extension classes in st. Cloud. Maybe she would be more interested with a lady teacher and all lady class. ..

I will tell you this. My son shoots Trap for a High School Sport. They did really well this year. You want to know who the number one team is? Buffalo. And coached by a beautiful blonde woman who has those kids shooting straight 50's, 75's and 100's. She's a helluva coach, I think.

Who knows. But Pink keeps it so it won't be "borrowed" by a male in the house. Pink ensures property lines. Those Pink Tool kits with Pink hammer handles and pink pliers. Were made with a very good reason...so they would not grow legs and end up on husbands' tool benches and be lost forever in their abyss.

If I 'put on my big boy pants' and just went and bought one, you best clean out your guest bedroom for me.

Dang the K fell off my Pink, making it a pin gun!

Having shot with and having had a woman as my only back up in some fairly hairy situations, I have always been confident they would do what needed to be done, therefore I would never say anything about a woman with a gun. But I would laugh at them if their weapon was pink!

Christmas is coming though! Maybe I take earlier advice and make it a gift! I will have to hit the used shelf at cabela's soon. All sales final :)

Make it a used gun from the "expensive room" at Cabelas. That way you have a great gun when she rejects it. I have always wanted one of those "expensive" ones but could never justify it. BUT buying it for the wife as a Christmas present would justify it, as nothing is too good for the little woman...

Judy could be getting her first gun this year!
