Good Question!
I like having a one-piece snowmobile suit. I've been wearing my mom's old one from the 70's for the past few years but it got a big rip in the seam last winter and I don't know how to sew.... 
You can't really find them like that anymore, mostly it's just the bibbers in wild neon snowmobile colors nowadays. The closest thing I could find to it are the Carhartt-type insulated coveralls. The name brand stuff is pretty expensive so I found a generic brand at TSC for way cheaper. I haven't had to wear it yet, so we'll see how it compares to the ol' vintage snowmobile suit. It's a much stiffer, heavier fabric so hopefully I can move around in it. 
The thing I like about the coveralls is the full coverage with no chance for drafts or snow down your pants or up your jacket. You can throw them on over anything, whether it's pajamas or goin' to meetin' clothes and you've got full coverage from the elements and chicken poop. 

A few days ago I made the mistake of interacting with my chickens in my office clothes, when I arrived there was a smell only a chicken owner knows..

It was on my blouse sleeve and I have no idea how it got there!!!

Isn't that the worst?! I haven't gone to work with it on my clothes, but my shoes for sure. I usually notice it as soon as I'm backing out of the driveway and it's too late to go change

I got mine on sale at fleet farm. they are too long for me, but they just stay on top of my boots - unless I am wearing the big rubber mud boots. i got them really big, so they go on easy over jeans, but still work without jeans too. best thing ever! pretty lightweight because they are just polar fleece with a wind jacket type cover. So I would try fleet farm or amazon.... I forget when the ice fishing stuff goes on really good sale at ff.

I put them on this morning. I know it isn't that cold yet, but I am a wimp.

I will have to get down there then. I want lightweight warmth! I had some regular bib overall type snow pants I loved, but they weren't very sexy. LOL I don't care. Minnesota Winters are all about function and nothing to do with fashion for me.
My favorite winter work clothes otherwise is a hooded Field and Forest jacket that gathers at the waist and at the wrists to keep the warmth in. Has great pockets too. Then my Muck boots, which are great for year around. I have a second pair though that are better fitting and keep me warm all the way up my calves, they are a buffalo hide high boot from LL Bean.
For my hands, I have the cheap jersey fabric gloves that I wear inside my waterproof, thin gloves that I get from Fleet Farm. My hands will get super cold for about the first 10-15 minutes, but once my circulation catches up and makes the gloves warm, I can stay out there all day. Since I have a number of waterers to clean out and fill, I have to have something truly waterproof but not bulky like so many WP gloves are. This has worked for me for a couple of years. I have already started using them again this week. They aren't great for doing things like trying to built stuff and hold nails or screws, but are great for chores.
Oh, and for those days that don't require snow pants, I have flannel lined jeans and fleece lined jeans form LLBean. I see FF has expanded their stock some this year for this kinds of items. I find the fit is never right. The LLBean jeans have a really small waist compared to the rest of the fit, the FF jeans have a huge waist, I need in between. I tried the tall cut from LLB, but they were SO long that I couldn't deal with it, and that included the length in the waist. I am a short bodied person, and I hate when I have to wear pants that the waist on my ribs and just under my bra to get them to fit my butt and hips. Men have no idea what us women with curves have to deal with!

I kept my girls in the run yesterday they didn't seem to like it very much this morning when I went out to open up the door they were standing right in front of it and as soon as I opened it a little bit out they all ran.. They must've thought they were going to be trapped in there again today and gave me a sneak attack ... Little herd of chickens running out the door was pretty funny...

Like a group of kindergarteners waiting to go pee! LOL

I am paranoid that if i don't shower after doing anything out there than my hair is going to smell like wet chicken poop. I don't wear any clothes out in the chicken yard that I wear off my property except if I go to get feed, and since it is at my friend's house, I don't get too worked up about appearances or biosecurity since she has a pretty clean place and watches everything very closely.
I had to go to my son's concert Wednesday night in Rochester and had no time to take a shower, so I had my two kids here sniffing my hair for me. Cuz once you get that smell in your nose, everything smells like chicken poop. Pig poop is even worse!!!!

I was eyeballing it for myself, but I have too much stuff laying around to justify bringing more materials to the place. My husband is already ready to kick me to the curb for all I have around here already Well, not really kick to the curb, but he doesn't like it.

Ooooo OOOO Ooooooooo! I may get my van back this weekend!!!!! I talked to the body shop and he said he even helped me save a little, so I might get a little more than I had hoped out of this. YeeeHaaaa! But I did have to make some concessions from the start. I am just going to be happy I don't have to drive my V8 4X4 truck everywhere any more! I fill the tank twice a week, the van I can go two weeks doing the same driving before I have to fill it up.
