I love the idea of goats but not the maintenance. I hear with goats that worming is a big problem, and goat people swear by molly's herbals goat wormer. Something to stick away in case you need it!Barred rock, ee, bovan, asian blue....my first winter with chickens. I've had goats for 4 months....they are exiled to the 3 sided porch during the day but go into half the coop at night. The chickens decided the stall wall was a great place to roost.

I would replace the red light with a 100W bulb with a timer giving them extra light. Those are all breeds that should be okay in winter. I hate to see you on the news from a burned down coop.
Okay, I missed the bovan, what is that? It isn't on feathersite list, so wondering if it is a cross of some kind?
