Minnesota!

@The BlanchRanch , that bike is amazing....and expensive I'm sure.

My hubby just got rid of his R1 last fall. We spend more time on our cruisers and it just sat in the garage getting dusty for almost two years. I'm sure he'll talk about how much he misses it this summer.

Glad y'all love the wind in your hair! No motorcycles for me or my wifey. I have scraped more body parts / bodies off of local highways and county roads than I can count (I'm a cop). Its rarely the operators fault, but you simply cannot control enough external variables for me to justify the wind in my hair. Thats what my boat is for :).

Last summer, my hubby and son were almost taken out by a car of teenagers that pulled in front of us. Our son obviously no longer rides with my hubby (I'm pretty sure I almost had a heart attack), but goes to show you how little folks pay attention. We rode a bit less after that incident. Scares you a bit.

I know too many people injured or killed on bikes. My brother-in-law was killed on a bike in Forest Lake a few years ago when a 17-year old pulled out in front of him. My sister had been in a couple of accidents on hers when she was younger, not her fault. My husband was tossed 20-feet in the air when lady crossed the 6 lane highway going in and out of the Navy base we were stationed at, got his bike totaled and leg broken (that was before we were an item). That is plenty for me to to say no to motorcycles. Hubby's was a Yamaha Venture, a beautiful champagne colored bike. He replaced it with another Venture, went on one trip with it, then he overhauled it in the garage. It sat in parts for over 6-months, we had rode it once together after we became an item, and I convinced him to sell it. I think he was relieved for me to talk him into it by then.

I ride mine back and forth to work to save on gas vs my truck. DW and I made a firm agreement when i bought it that i would not ride on the interstate and i always wear protective gear (helmet, jacket with pads, bike pants, boots and gloves. So i can't say i feel the wind in my hair :) . I want to take as few risks as possible but i know I can't always account for other people.

nothing beats a nice ride on a sunny day though.
