Miracle- Hello! guinea/chicken crossbreed

Is Miracle getting lots of fresh clean water. I can't imagine he/she's not.

So glad Miracle is still alive. I'm so hoping it's a female, would love to see it's eggs being half easter egger.

Mena, Thank you so much for your updates.

There is a thread for "uglies" on BYC. There was one I came across a few weeks back. However, even though everyone is saying they are sterile, I did see where someone had fertile eggs hatch from one, but I don't remember where it was I found that, I had been flipping between BYC and what came up on Google. It would be neat for it to survive and see what turns out to be its destiny. Keep us all posted.

Hello from Miracle,

Today I am 14 weeks old so to celebrate I got to go outside the coop. It was really muddy but I found a little bit of green grass. Mmmmm....it was really good. I really like it out there except for the other birds. If I was stronger like Little Bit and Rascal I wouldn't mind. They just run from the big birds ....and run and run and run. They like it a lot. It makes me tired and my legs start hurting if I have to run fast. I ran way out in the pasture all by myself today and they stopped chasing me. I was sitting down resting my legs and Mena came out there and got me. She put me back in the coop so I could rest.

Sweetie's broken leg is getting better. She stayed in the coop for about 3 weeks. Now she hops and limps outside to eat goodies with the others. She stopped laying eggs for a long time but this week she started laying them again. That must mean she is getting well. Her leg still has a funny looking thing taped on it. Maybe the people will take that off of her some day.

Rascal is a crazy little guinea. Yesterday he decided to ride the horses all by himself. First he rode Lightning and did a bad thing. He pooped on Lightning's back! Then he hopped over onto Ivory's back but he didn't poop on her. Today he decided to go riding again. What a silly bird he is. He is just lucky those horses didn't mind having a goofy guinea on their back.

Little Bit is so NOISY! I don't make much noise but my voice is changing a little now. Instead of just cheep cheep cheep all the time I'll say a kind of cluck/cheep sound. Still, nobody knows if I'm a boy or a girl. It is my secret.

I was wondering how you were doing Miracle - and great there you are posted again. I know you are too kind to ever poop on a horse's back. I love your sweet nature and seeing how nicely you are developing.
