"As for running with the flock - M and the 2 guineas that hatched with him are their own sub flock. They stay together but don't mix with the older birds except in the coop. They all come together to eat there but often the little ones come into the coop at different times to avoid the older birds. They fill up and get out of the way."
Mena, this is very good news. It is very typical that Guinea clutches will free range together and stay away from the rest of the Guinea Flock.
You will evcentually see them all get incorperated into the rest of the flock, but this may take some time.
I have five Guineas that came from the same clutch and they still are together and away from the rest of the flock.
Lately, though the regular pearls are branching out and the three pie balds are still a team.
I find it very nice that you are letting your precious M just be a bird. I have a few birds that i would just hate to see get hurt or worst. However, I see them running about the property enjoying their lives as they should.

Do you think so? I have no idea at all. I have just always called him that because it is easier.
I would really love to have eggs! If I got them I wonder what they would look like? Like a
guinea but larger???? Miracle doesn't act like a male around the hens. He/she loves to sit
in the nest boxes but I think that is because he/she feels safe from pecking in there. ?????
I love seeing the Miracle updates! I'm so glad he's found his own little flock of friends. It's hard letting the special ones out, but I'm glad you're letting him be a bird.

Wow Pattyhen! Miracle will be touched that your very first post is to him/her.
Miracle will write again very soon. The sun was shinning today and s/he was busy enjoying
being outside and taking a nice dust bath. Spring is coming!!!!
