Miracle- Hello! guinea/chicken crossbreed

Hello from Miracle,

The sun was shinning again today so I got to go lots of places with my buddies. Most of the time we stay close to the coop and the barn but today we got very brave. The older birds love to work in the horse pasture spreading manure. I have watched them out there working very hard. Little Bit and Rascal went with me out there to try it ourselves. It was a hard job and we got tired but it was fun.

The older birds love to go to the woods and scratch the leaves back to see what they can find under there. I have watched them but was afraid to go that far away from the barn. Today, since I was feeling so brave, we went to the woods and now I know what is under the leaves! Worms! We were working hard until the big birds chased us away. We flew part of the way and ran the rest of the way to the barn.

One other thing the big birds love to do is go to the house and scratch in the flower beds. When Mena sees them doing that she runs out and yells at them and chases them away with a big stick. I didn't want to do that. The stick is really scary.

One day I was in the run and the big guineas chased me into the corner. They were pecking me so I stuck my head in the corner so they couldn't peck my face. Mena saw me and opened the gate and scooped me up. She put me in the baby cage in the coop. Whew! I was glad to be away from those big birds! She also made me another hiding place in the coop out of some milk crates. I like to go in there whenever the big birds scare me.

Today I am 18 weeks old and still, nobody knows if I am a girl or a boy. It is still my secret!

If you want to know what sex she is you can have it blood tested at the vet I think it cost like $30 at my vet place.

Great story. It sounds like Miracle had a busy day full of adventures! I wonder if he will crow like a normal rooster? (If he's male). She/he sure is a cutie. Probably likes getting his/her picture taken by now lol.

Wow MIRACLE, you sure are getting tall. It doesn't really matter if you are he or she, but want you to be happy and healthy. I enjoy your adventures tho personally I try to avoid worms at every opportunity. It's okay that you love them, I guess it's just a "bird" thing .Love to you.

Thank you for the update Miracle . You're the prettiest chicken/guinea I've ever seen a picture of . So if you're pretty .......... oh ............. ummmmm ............. who knows ??????

Miracle, you're smarter than the average chicken if you've already learned what it takes to avoid the big stick...LOL!! Us humans don't like having our flower beds messed with! Glad to hear you're doing well, and can't wait to discover whether you're a she or a he

Miracle...
I do agree with the childrens book Idea just reading what you had typed as the Miracle story I had so many ideas come to mind as too how you could write it as a childrens story for speical needs children and how Miracle has learned to over come things in his/her life and sweetie could be like the mentor she guides Miracle on this journey till he/she is big enough to be out in the field....

If I were you I would go for it before someone else does. Please tell Miracle to keep updating I loved reading about all his adventures in the barnyard....
