Hen's breed: Serama
Hen's age: About 8 months
I think Pinto should be Miss Chicken 2010 because she is affectionate and ridiculously small! And who can't love a chicken that lays eggs the size that most chickens would laugh at?

Such beautiful hens and roos in this contest! We backyard farmers have gorgeous, well cared-for birds!

My favorite hen is "Chippy", an 8 month old Easter Egger. She lays the most gorgeous, LARGE green eggs. Her feathers are a beautiful mix of colors! Chippy could be Miss Chicken 2010 and make me proud! She thinks she is the hottest chick in our yard as she is the only one who can fly up on top of the coop. She flies up there daily and struts around, soaks up some sun, then flies back down! Others have awkwardly tried to fly up, but they don't have the streamlined Easter Egger body!

This is Daisy. She is out of an EE dad and an EE mom ( i think, haha. either that or a buff orp/leghorn - 1 of the two for sure)
She is about 7 months old, laying a beautiful blue egg.

There is no exciting chickhood story to tell about her, only that she is beautiful and sadly she is at the bottom of the pecking order and now she has developed a no fear relationship with me, I sometimes wonder if she is contemplating flying at my face or wants me to take her away to a new coop.
