I have buffs too and they seem to develope tails more quickly for some reason.Look at the tails of this Blue Wyandotte that is only one week older and she lives with the Orps.

Marlon I think the splash is also a cockerel. Those BBS Orps are so slow to grow tails! Suede's lack of one was a joke for the longest time. Hey, perfection takes time, right?

Yeah I know but if he's a cockeral he's wimp cause he lets the girls scare him to death.I'm actually growing them in my bantam pen which I sold all of them but 10 hens.They are bigger than the bantams already but when those bantams say boo he hides. lol

I love your blue Wyandottes! If I was going to add blues in a different breed, I'd consider those for sure.

These three are hatchery birds I got from TSC.I have one older pullet that came from the same place Katy's did.I just can't get over how good the temperment is of these birds.I'm fairly sure they came from Welp since they are about the only one's that sell them.I'm in the process of doing a lot of changes with my flock right now.I have ideas of what I want and as I get them I'm selling off or rehoming some of them.I have some untouchables and will stay here forever but really want to eventually get at least a couple of my coops down to pure breed's only.You know one of my goals is BBS Orps and possibly Blue Wyandotte's or BLRW's.Not sure on the rest but that's the plan right now.It won't happen over night but it's something to work towards.Right now I just have have a hodge podge of different breeds as layers but hopefully I'll get where I want to at some point.I love the Orpington's but those rose combed birds just really stand out to me and most of them have great personalities.

Ohhh I wish I hadn't clicked this post. LOL Yesterday, MissPrissy, I went to the bank to find out what was up. I'm not big on banks, preferring to keep my spending money and meager savings in a safe here at home. But I put so much into an atm card checking account, for online purchases and paypal. So I call to double check I have enough money for the shipping on the free eggs I won from you. I'm thinkng I have around $15 left in there, but the phoneline says I have an actualy balance of $11.69 and an available balance of -18 something. WHAT? So I back out of the free eggs, and then I went yesterday to the bank.....it was a MISTAKE! I wasn't overdrawn at all, I had enough money for the shipping the whole time....grrrrrrrr now I see why I don't like banks all over again!
