i try to upload my new avatar but then it just goes right back to the one that i already have?

and i tried f5 and control button but does nothing

HELP!
I used to have no trouble changing Avatars, now no matter what I do, I still get the old one back. I've been messing with it till I'm about to scream. What can I do?

To ad to the majic.....my friend says she sees the new picture but my computer still shows the old one!!!!!
And YES I did refresh it several times!
