Missing birds

Good news and bad news? I dunno. The good news is that we may have some idea of who did it and where it got in. There's a feral cat on the property. I had not realized she goes into the barn, but my husband saw her slipping out this morning. AND he found and boarded up another hole in the stall, one she could have slipped through. I'm not convinced it was her, though... wouldn't a cat have left blood and feathers?

Not if she carried it off to eat it, which is the normal way of cats.

Were these baby chicks? NONE of my cats (and I have 14 outdoor cats) would touch a grown or half grown chicken. They have been attacked by enough angry hens to know better. lol

If there was more than one killed it might not have been a cat......unless they were recently hatched chicks.

Hope you don't lose any more....
