Missing chick.. ***NEW update***

OMG! I found her! Squished under the waterer! She is still alive, but cold, wet, and stiff. I have her sitting under the heat lamp to dry and warm up. Hopefully she will recover. I am so upset with myself. It is a good thing I have the waterer sitting on 2 2x4's and she was wedged in between them, or she'd have been flattened. I just can't believe she was under there that whole time! I was always so careful about it when they were tiny because I didnt want to squish anyone.... I didn't think a 6 week old could get stuck under there without me knowing!

Yeah, Families together.

I am sooo glad you found her. Silly chick

Make sure she gets a good drink and if you have any poly vi sol, might want to dribble a drop or two along her beak.

This weekend I had one chick flip a tupperware container and trap another chick under it. The flipper chick then stood on the container looking at the trapped chick.

I can laugh easy now cause I was right there to rescue the trapped chick - silly birds.

Update: She is warm and dry now. She's been eating and drinking normally. But there is something wrong with one of her feet. It is all curled up and she isnt using it. So far, she is hopping around on one leg. Is there something I can do to help her, or did being stuck under the waterer permanently damage her foot?

I've seen some posts with chicks having a splint made of bandaids or pipecleaners so that it keeps their foot straight & flat. Do a search on curled foot & there should be some pictures. Glad you found her & good luck!

Glad you found her. You could try taping her foot with the sticky parts of a band aid. But if it's hurt, you may just need to let it heal. I'd definitely keep her inside.
