Missing comb??

I have two 4-6 week old golden seabright chicks. One has no to very little hint of comb and the other has an orange comb no hint of waddles yet and that's when I start seeing them.

Is the lack of comb a birth defect?? It's a very healthy bird-- just no comb. I'm not as new as I was last year and I'm doing quite well with my bantam flock thanks to your help. 😊

This is yet another head scratcher. I knew right away with our mlle fleur bantams we had two cockerels and a hen.

Can you post a pic
Definitely. I'm about to head in and do my final check to make sure everyone is happy for the night. They're not the best shots because for some reason as well as I can handle my other birds, the seabrights are super wiggly and active. The red lighting is not for heat, they seem to sleep better with it and I change it out in the morning. I know the one with a comb is too young to tell at four weeks, the one without the comb is larger. The first image gives the look of a comb more than what's actually there. I'm talking barely even a hint of one other than a few nearly microscopic bumps. It's been the same non existent limbo since we brought it home.
