I totally thought the thermostat would go on the outside. Does it read but not control? Or is it automatic?

We won't be able to see veins until day 3 at the very earliest.

This kind of thermostat doesn't have a panel for reading temperature. It just controls the temp from inside by turning on and off the light.

If one of these eggs takes, I think I will try to set up a livestream camera through a viewing window in the incubator. It would run 24/7 and you guys could watch daily candlings.

Having a calibrated thermometer is all you need to set the thermostat to the correct temp.

When I left the temp was about 100F and humidity about 48%
