Mites causing lack of energy and appetite!

The other day I realized my Cochin had terrible mites, I treated her with permethrin about a week ago and all the mites are gone now. However she lost a lost of weight and is constantly sleeping. I have to syringe feed her water along with applesauce and yogurt in an attempt to get her energy and weight back up. I'm concerned that she's yet to make any improvement, I'm wondering if I should keep this up and she just needs time or if there's something else I'm not doing that I need to do.

I would treat her again after 7 days to get any newly hatched mites. Offer some electrolytes with vitamins, wet chicken feed, and some scrambled egg or tuna. If mites have made her that weak, she could be in danger of dying. Tube feeding might be needed if she won’t eat or drink.

All you can do is bathe them, treat them, and clean the area out thoroughly. Sometimes you gotta use harsh chemicals if mites get bad in the location.
Try giving your girl protein or fruit.

Implementing food grade dichotomous earth for dust bath, in the food/water, or flooring helps too.

Some mites will live in the coop and crawl on the chickens at night, did you clean/treat the coop?

Always watch what she's able to eat. Chickens that weak needs a liquid feeding regime. So you'll need a syringe to feed her. Liquid feed mash, raw egg yolk, and yogurt. Those are my go to for feeding a sick or injured chicken. And a lot of rest for the bird.

What vitamins should I give her? Also how do I give her electrolytes? Thanks for the help.

Electrolytes are sometimes mixed with chicken vitamins. Look at your feed store for Poultry NutriDrench or Poultry Cell, or powder SaveAChick. B complex is a good human vitamin to give instead, 1/4 tablet tablet daily. Electrolytes are avaliable in SaveAChick chick vitamins, Some brands in feed stores, human pedialyte or Gatorade, and you can make homemade ones. Don’t use more than a few days.
