MITES on rumps

The mites are only on the rumps of the chickens - we were using a dust that is pretty nasty stuff and really don't want to use that again. What do you use to ride mites?

We used seven dust on the chickens and sprayed down the entire coop with permethrin. Not really a fan of either, but it was a one time thing and we haven't seen anything on the chickens since.

you can also use Adams flea & tick mist if you have it on hand.

I keep a box of wood ashes in the run, I haven't had any mites yet, maybe that would help.
