Permethrin is still labeled a carcinogen.Other products work too. Different strokes for different folks.
I used it before on my 1st batch of girls n I've looked at each egg and they looked ok to me xxI use fipronil too. It works far better and is longer lasting than anything else you’ll see recommended here. It does have a much longer residual and it’s not approved for poultry but neither is half the stuff people use. I eat eggs all the time and don’t bother waiting. I’m fine so far but I could go belly up 5 min from now so who knows.![]()
Did you wait any period of time before eating the eggs or chickens xxI use it, it works great the chickens taste pretty good. Everything causes cancer these days or so they say that's nothing new better get use to that.
The drug has residuals that can still be present in the egg when you eat it. Still better than whatever you’re getting from the short order cook when you go out to eat. LolI used it before on my 1st batch of girls n I've looked at each egg and they looked ok to me xx
Thank guys. It seems like a real shame to throw the eggs away. I've just opened 12 eggs and they look fine too, not that I know what I'm looking for . I dabbled them under there wings on Monday so 4 days should be enough time. The dose is pretty tiny so i think there will be OK. XxNot really I only do it spring before they go broody and after molt and usually never see a mite on my fowl, I just do it just incase.
