You can use permethrin or oxine. I think the fumes in bleach would not be good for your birds.. As for cedar doesnt work tried it.

where can i get oxine?

we are building them a new coop as current is old and icky

new one is metal so less mites

you can get permethrin in tractor supply it is safe to spray on your birds and in your coop. It works great just remember the live cycle of a mite and spray every few days..

wat also works is spreading conola oil on the area it works best on bare skin
