I have not done it but I keep a bin of wood ash for my chickens to dust-bathe in and I've never had mites. The people who did this method treated chickens with a HORRIBLE case of mites and all sorts of other problems and all of them recovered. There are also people on the Natural Chicken Keeping thread that can answer more questions as some of them have done this treatment and had it work. It's a good thing to try so you don't have to buy and use all those commercial and/or chemical dusts.

Okay thanks I told my mom about that idea and I sent her the link, I think she is still deciding but I am pretty sure we will do that
