Mites?

Thanks for all the great options! I will go to TSC ASAP. They are not bad yet as I really thought it was a case of too much rooster love, lol. I check my one hen and saw a few tiny ones so I hope I can get this under control fast. I plan on really cleaning out the coop this weekend as well as the other treatments ASAP.

Do an experiment... Dust one, put it in a covered box on white paper towels and come back in 45 minutes, you might be surprised as to how many we're actually there.

I don't think I want to know, if that's the case I'd probably freak out and move the chickens in the house! My poor girls!

I had a hen that just wasn't quite right, so I decided to worm her and dust her even though I couldn't see any mites/lice... I was amazed by the number of dead feather lice that were hiding somewhere on her.

I had a terrible time with I think is mites just this week. Are they small and are little greenish/white tiny bugs? They were thick in the chicken Coop. Cleaned out the chicken coop, put the chicken dust all over and put in new bedding. Dusted that as well. My chickens are free ranged. Haven't dusted them all because they are hard to catch. They now refuse to go to the coop to roost. They are roosting in our shed. We shut the shed and tonight they are roosting on our front porch. I need help really bad! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
