White Jersey Giant.What's a WJG?
What might be simpler, although not as immediate, is get a sizable pack of both white sultans and white americauna (or however you spell it), wait until theybhave reached full size, and cross the largest roosters over the biggest hens.White Jersey Giant.
I like this idea! What might be simpler, although not as immediate, is get a sizable pack of both white sultans and white americauna (or however you spell it), wait until theybhave reached full size, and cross the largest roosters over the biggest hens.
That would give you sizable F1 white EEs.
Then, from the F1s, pick the largest hens with the egg color and physical traits you like, and cross them over the biggests, featheriest roos. Again, after they reach full size so you know you have the biggest!
Meyers has white sultans available, pretty cheap per chick.
I forgot about the hocks.I like this idea!
I'd have to cross the F1's back into Sultans though to get Vulture Hocks. V.H are recessive.
That's probably the toughest part of this whole project. I would give it up, but I'm really hooked on the looks of vulture hocksI forgot about the hocks.
You could use Artificial Insemination. Serama roo x JG Hen so the embryo has room to grow. I would expect the need to assist the hatch.I would never do this IRL for obvious reasons but I always wondered what a Jersey giant x serama would look like
Do they have genetic testing for chickens?? Then you could test your most promising chicks that result from the F1x sultan and then ONLY breed the ones homozygous for the hocks! That's probably the toughest part of this whole project. I would give it up, but I'm really hooked on the looks of vulture hocks
