[Mixed Breed] BYC Crazy Egg Chain

That's weird because the eggs I got, there was only one NN roo in with brahma, and RIR hens and almost all the chicks came out with naked necks

why is everyone making this so complicated?

I was here to have fun.....

if nobody wants the eggs that is fine, my 2 hens are going broody anyway.

you peeps are confusing me here...........how is this sex linked?? I have NN hens, and a friend has NN roosters. if it's sex linked, what are the sexs of our newly hatched chicks based on whom has which NN???

That's not true, because someone on here in CT, had a NN roo in a pen with different hens(not NN) and gave me eggs and almost all the chicks had NN

I have been told that to get 75% or higher NN you must use a NN on a feathered neck chicken regardless of sex.
which is what I've done and has happened this year. My friend with the NN roos, has gotten very few NN chicks comparitively speaking. but it sounded like someone was also saying the NN gene is sex linked, that if the sire is NN all the NN will be one sex, and if the dam is NN all the NN will be another....I"d like to know that if it's true, and which is which...........preferably before I take a load of these NN chicks to Chickenstock Sunday! LOL LOL

how many of the frizzled NN can you come up with??? that seems like a very unique cross to me and one I'd get a kick outta having.......but if I have to wait til August....well, could ya hatchem now for me for $$ instead?? I'm in Northern Maine and that would be soooo very late to receive hatching eggs and expect them to make it through the winter.........

and are these bantam? I couldn't find the frizzled NN in the pics so not sure. I don't care either way...just curious.

You were given the link to my birds so you saw Sally the blue frizzle conchin NN.

Anyway......I will be selling my roos........so nevermind.......

All I was doing was selling my "mixed breed" eggs and I don't know why it was that complicated.
I was selling them in August because my girls are going kinda broody.

How frustrating!

i was told that the only way to get NN in a chick is to have a NN mother the gene is not sex linked it is only passed down by the female. was told this by a 4H leader that breeds them
