Mixes can be more fun... hatching pure stock can be kind of stressful because you have all these expectations and the outcome really matters so I always try to end hatching season with mixes you never know what you will end up with and really they all lay eggs and can be eaten...

This is Dressy (named by a 6 yr old) he is a duckwing old english crossed with a Black Rosecomb.

Thank you very much for your encouraging words. I feel much better now about keeping my roo, especially since I've spent so much time and effort raising him. Everyone's chickens are so beautiful and nobody's more helpful than the folks on BYC... perhaps that's why I'm becoming an addict :-)
 
I'm sure these guys are mixed but I don't know what kind!! I did post on the name that breed forum so maybe someone can help me figure it out.
