Mixed Breed (Mutt) Chickens!

This is my oldest mutt. Her name is Baby Girl.
Her lineage is Speckled Sussex Roo x Production Red Hen.

Her mom is tiny and this girl is nearly double her size. And she's gone broody, while her mom has never had a broody day in her life.

She has some interesting patterning!

This is LF. Her mother was a brown leghorn and her father was ameraucana (or however you spell it). She lays a beautiful blue egg. She has one of the strangest combs I've ever seen! Her full sister favors the ameraucana side, with feathered cheeks, a pea comb and small frame. I would post a picture of her but the poor girl is at the bottom of the pecking order and always looks so rough, with missing feathers and pecks on her comb
