Mixed breeds

Pics
Tomorrow I'm setting eggs that I've collected from my D'Uccle hens. They will be Mille Fleur x Bantam White Langshan, and Golden Necked X Bantam White Langshan. I was told the Langshans white was recessive, which means zip to me. Any guesses on coloring (in English please)?LOL!!
it means you will need 2 copies of the white gene for solid whit birds and since both the mille and golden have white in them you might end up with some white birds but i doubt that i'm thinking that they shoud have at least a little bit of color to them...as long as they aren't solid yellow/white as chicks they should have color to them

hdowden....Thank You, and I just understood every word that you wrote!!! Simply Amazing.

I can't see 7Up to well, but Dr Pepper and Twist are beautiful! Is this the most curent pic of Twist? I would love to see her again as an adult:)

I'm afraid it is, although her feathering hasn't changed much, if at all, she's just got a little more comb now. =3 She produces some pretty white babies. I got some chicks out of her this year that are mostly white with some black feathers on their tails and some random black spots on their hackles and wings.

This year we had an Americana go missing and found her sitting on 14 of her own eggs. We were crossing our fingers that most belonged to our Americana roo but I don't think that's the case. Looks like most of them are half barred rock, which our barred rock roo is our top roo in the flock. So it's not too surprising. We were needing more layers this year as some of our girls are getting old and figured that these little ones will make nice replacements. They are quite cute too, seems a lot of them have poofy cheeks with that barred rock color. XD

Here is an experimental crossing. I wanted something that I could use the boys for meat, and the girls for eggs/natural incubator.
They are 13 weeks old on Saturday

I think they are really close to what I was looking for. Nice dual purpose mutts.

Kind of remind me of a barred langshan nice!

I got another broody wyandotte, shes on 7 good/just candled eggs. They are all hers since she was by her self with the mutt roo. Bring on the multi-ancestral fowl!

Just wanted to share a pic of my other mixed boy. He came from a project pen with a polish roo(black tailed red) in it. Not sure what the hen was. I just love him and his spicey attitude so he gets to stay even tho he's not a she. That's a 2x4 he's standing on. He's pretty small. Hatched May 5th this year.

Here is my barred/EE. Unfortunately, I think this one is a boy too.:(. If so, he will have to go to a new home. The comb is very pink at 2-2.5 months and feathered out very slowly.

That is a girl. It may be a bit pink, but the size is too small for a boy. I have a few pure BR that have combs that pink and they are 6 weeks old.

You know what? Your absolutely right. Duh, I hatched her April 30th, which would make her 3 months. However, she is soooo tiny! That's why I thought she was younger. I was curious and looked at my calendar! Thanks for pointing that out.

I just started to integrate them with the other flock, which is late for 3 months. Usually I start integrating with a dog kennel inside the coop early(4-8 weeks) when the last one is mostly feathered. I don't bring my heat lamp outside. The sooner I integrate, the better it works for me.

Here is my BR pullet hatched 1 day after yours

She is quite small too, but I find the BRs grow slower then other breeds. At least in my experience. Your picture looks like a 6 week old pullet, not a 14 week old one like mine. :/ So small!
