Mixed breeds

You know what? Your absolutely right. Duh, I hatched her April 30th, which would make her 3 months. However, she is soooo tiny! That's why I thought she was younger. I was curious and looked at my calendar! Thanks for pointing that out.
I just started to integrate them with the other flock, which is late for 3 months. Usually I start integrating with a dog kennel inside the coop early(4-8 weeks) when the last one is mostly feathered. I don't bring my heat lamp outside. The sooner I integrate, the better it works for me.
Here is my BR pullet hatched 1 day after yours

She is quite small too, but I find the BRs grow slower then other breeds. At least in my experience. Your picture looks like a 6 week old pullet, not a 14 week old one like mine. :/ So small!

I had to saw open the egg with a jagged knife because the egg shell was so thick. She was peeping for 2 days and stopped. I could hear her heartbeat and hatched her. She laid in the makeshift incubator(broody ate some chicks, so I tried to finish in a fish tank) and she was 1/2 shrink wrapped. Her legs and feet needed extra help as she couldn't walk. I made makeshift splints and she fully recovered.

This could be why she was so small. The other two hatch mates grew much faster then her and I rehomed them. I bought 2 more a month younger(I wanted another RIR in my flock) then her to keep her company. I'm forever keeping Stormy as she had such a strong will to live. I hope she lays eggs and is not effected by her size. I like small eggs too. That's why I thought she was 2 months. I hope she lays an olive colored egg!

She's really feisty and is top hen of her mini flock, but she loves to sit in my hands and sit on my lap.

What a great story! That must be why she is so small. I am so glad she has this will to live. I had a chick with spraddle leg in my last hatch, and it didn't make it past 5 days. :( I had made splints and little hock shoes, but it would not balance properly and ended up dying one morning. I was really hoping I could save it, but no..

She is definitely a girl, so you are safe in that respect.

I'm so sorry you lost your chick.:(

I didn't realize mine was 14 weeks already, but here she is again! She still has that tiny squeaky cheep.

Did she rest on her hocks as well? She is and was adorable! I hope you keep her!

No matter what, I will always try to help unless there is no hope. I thought for sure there was hope. I did what I could, and I feel good about that much. Poor little silkie :(

Yes, she still does too! I'm keeping her if she stays a hen.;) No boys just yet! I have 18 in the incubator now! All pure Ameracauna eggs too! I'm debating on keeping a pure Ameracauna boy. I might wait for a wheaten or blue wheaten in the next year or so. Right now I have blue and black. Maybe splash too.

That is a girl. It may be a bit pink, but the size is too small for a boy. I have a few pure BR that have combs that pink and they are 6 weeks old.

Down in the right corner.
Bahahaha. I don't know what that white chicken is but it looks like I do when I get out of bed in the morning!

Just wanted to share a pic of my other mixed boy. He came from a project pen with a polish roo(black tailed red) in it. Not sure what the hen was. I just love him and his spicey attitude so he gets to stay even tho he's not a she. That's a 2x4 he's standing on. He's pretty small. Hatched May 5th this year.
Meet Axl
What an interesting leg color. It looks light blue.
