I've asked about the guys before. I have most of it figured out, but I'm curious about a few things! Hoping someone might know. They're barnyard mixes so no specific breed.

First is Claw. Due to her tiny size and webbed foot I'm thinking silkie mixed with whatever. What say you? (No idea what she's mixed with!)they're busy freaking out at an earwig pile. It's hard to get pics when they're frenzied!

She has cheek... Puffs? Kind of like my favorelle. What breeds have those?

Second is EEEK! (Bottom left in first pic) he's clearly a RIR mix. With the cheek puffs. Very big cheek puffs! I'm super curious to know what breeds have those.

Third is Angel. I've NO idea what she is at all. Her tail isn't as long or full as the others. It also curves down. Is that just her tail being wonky or is it possible she's mixed with a droopy tailed chicken? If so, what?

I just happened to hatched some R.I.R. mixes yesterday I got the eggs from a friend. He has a R.I.R. rooster and about 10 different needs of hens. But with mixed breeds I think there in no telling what genes will be dominate.

Muffs or cheek puffs as you called them are in a few breeds but quite often you see them in Easter Eggers because of their Ameraucana heritage

That's the word I was looking for, thank you! They look like chipmunks with full cheeks. I suspect Easter eggers after some googling.

I love the mystery of barnyard eggs. Mine have partial black beaks and limbs.

The body type remind of buff orpington.

They Doo look similar to Invi, who was a huff orp.

Can you get a closer picture of the first one's comb?

It only took me ten minutes to get ones. Claw is VERY shy I guess.

Now that it's been pointed out, I can't *not* see it! I never wanted EE chickens. I thought they were ugly. Now I see them and coo all the time.

Would that by chance explain Angel's downward turned tail? It's very firmly pointed at the ground vs fanning out like the other babies.
