I have 13 Isa brown's and 2 leg horns in a large pen. Can I put 5 white turkeys in with them for fall harvest?

I have a 2000 Sq ft play pen. I believe I have the space, along with separate housing, however I heard the chickens poop was toxic to the turkeys. Does that make sense?

Good afternoon. It isn't the chicken's poop per se, it is if they carry blackhead disease. Blackhead disease is hidden in some chickens and they are not affected, however it is deadly for the turkeys.
I have mixed chickens and turkeys at times, but I have an even bigger area than you and I found the turkeys to be hard on the chickens so now they are all separated. Also roosters and Toms fight.
For this reason IMO keep them separate and save yourself a heartache of a dead bird. Can you split the area in two?

Thanks for the info. I can and will separate for the blackhead disease.(although I think my girls are free of that) I don't have a rooster but hope to have a Tom or two. Thanks again.
