Mixing chicks

I have four 2 1/2 week old Lavender orp chicks and just added five 3 day old chicks I put them together in the brooder box and my big kids are terrified of the littles!!!

Chickens hate/fear change. Monitor closely they may become aggressive with the smaller chicks.

It's honestly better that the big chicks are scared of the little chicks rather than the big chicks attacking the little chicks. Like sourland said just monitor them to make sure no aggressive behaviour starts. Hopefully they will get used to each other soon without much conflict.
