Mixing Red stars with Buff Orpingtons

Hello! In October I will be ordering 30 chickens. 15 will be Red stars and 15 will be Buff Orpingtons, but I have been doing a lot of research and found that the Orps are lower in the pecking order. So, I was wondering if it was alright to mix the two.

Pecking order depends on individual chickens. I know a 2 pound Silkie roo who is dominant over a 7 pound Polish. The Polish'll thump you if he doesn't like you, but that Silkie comes around and you'd have thought he saw something out of a nightmare.

Orps and Stars will go fine together. All breeds except gamefowl and some bantams can be mixed without an issue, and even those rules can be bent.
