That seems right.I
I was thinking that too, then I realised she's about 18 months old. So while it's seasonally early, it's timely for her age. 18 months is when the first big moult occurs, isn't it? At least, this page says so.
Ivy's moulting. She's shed a whole lot of pink-stained back feathers and this wing feather.

How soon we get used to things - I saved loads of feathers earlier and displayed them all over the Chicken Palace, and now I am just wandering through heaps of feathers like they were leaves.I was thinking of her first 'big girl's molt, but whatever works for you...![]()
They get like leaves. They were all over the coop when I cleaned. They are now in the garden.
