MJ's little flock

I'm sitting in the funrun as I tap this into the mobile and loking around, I've become quite inspired wrt plantings.

I've been wanting to relocate a sad lilac, or at least take a cutting. So I'll put that in here somewhere because it will get a lot of sun. Perhaps bang in the middle.

Then there is tbe succulent that absolutely loves the conditions here. It grows fast and low but not too low. If i put one on each side of the lilac, there should be marvellous natural shade in a few years.

The jacanda will have reached the height of the funrun by then too and will start branching over the top. It's almost that tall already.

Until then, the hens are used to finding shelter under the tables and the new outdoor mister will help too.
Sounds lovely. 🥰

This view shows three happy hens and the height of the baby jacaranda

That's looking good. You could probably trim off the lowest layers of branches at the trunk to encourage upward growth and give it a good mulch, water and a feed of seasol. With any luck it may top the Funrun by the end of the growing season.

Edit
MJ: Hmmm do you think it needs a good feed?

Ribh: The man says about 3 years off flowering going by your pic but that he would shape it now.

Me: SHRA :lau

Are your builders going to make a fold down seat in the run for you?

What sort of roof will it have? Solid or wire or both?
