I hadn't noticed that black stripe across his crest until now. Is such a stripe unusual?

I've checked the calendar and she took to the nest on February 10. Today is March 17. What is that... 35 days of sitting.
I was going to leave her be until she decided to be up, but with such a long broody session, the last three nights I've carried her from the nest to the roost.
Naughty! Does it upset the others much?Alpia decided to sit as soon as she saw the Vorweks were in the little coop! The Little horror is still sitting!

His dad didn't have it, mor his brother or son so I think it is quite unusual. Very distinctive once you're seen it. He's a good looking rooster all round apart from his upturned spurs. I may have to trim them a little. They are just begining to bother him when he roosts.I hadn't noticed that black stripe across his crest until now. Is such a stripe unusual?
Not as much this time as last. Wrold is having an ugly little moult so @ least she hasn't joined her sister. That's something to be grateful for.Naughty! Does it upset the others much?
