That would be a great Friday photo! Now they're at their morning preening. Getting ready for the day. Tying up shoelaces. Sorting the hair out. Swapping nighties for day dresses.

That's just awesome!
And made with ale.Probably, if it’s deep-fried.![]()
Hooray Violy!
That's exactly what I imagine. A gently sloping non-slip floor with a long drain along the wall.I have a walk in shower with the floor flush with the bathroom floor (sloped towards the drain obviously but no lip). I did that because my great grandmother(?) supposedly died in her 90s by tripping over the lip of a walk-in shower and conking her head on the shower stall wall.
Ah yes, these are the other joys of an old house. The laundry is outside, it used to be a fibro hut but dad removed it and rebuilt it in concrete blocks. You can see the laundry in this photo.

It does have a concrete double sink which is where I bath Mary sometimes.
And it still has a gas fired copper but it's not connected to the gas any more because the pipe was leaking.
For a long time, the laundry was where the toilet was, and there's still a toilet in there, but it doesn't function. I need to replace it, but it's a very low priority task. Dad had a toilet made inside the house, which I'm very grateful for, but it's still on the wrong side of the back door and sometimes I only just make it in time! A more conveniently located toilet is higher up the to do list! Even higher up the list is a safe bathroom for my old age. Even higher than that is the front veranda which is subsiding - this is getting slowly underway. So you can see why I don't really care about the non-functioning outside toilet in the laundry![]()
OK. We could remove the beads for you but keep the cord. It stops the lid from falling off and breaking if you don't pay attention.I could go for that tea pot minus the amber looking beads.![]()
Now I remember! The mangle was situated over the white enamel coated, steel, round tub of the machine.Called twin tubs in the UK. I used to have one with the mangle roller over one of the tubs.
I was the same as a kid. My eldest is the same even now, and she will be 26 this year.Mason would love that! He hates having his food touch. The rest of us it doesn't matter.
