It's Wednesday here and I thought I would get a nice shot of my mug with my chooks in the background.

I was sitting on my mushroom stool leaning further and further back to get a good shot when....View attachment 2731162
Over I went.
Luckily I didn't break my mug (or anything else) and, on the plus side,View attachment 2731164 I was in a good position to take a better photo!

Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good.

Do you think that they are Barred Rocks?

They look like @ChicoryBlue buckeyes to me.

No. The rooster is a Jap Bantam. Look @ the tilt of the tail & how the wings drag! The hen may be too. Her wings are carried low & they have the short legs too.

Someone sees her special chickens in everything.

I thought I'd share another breakfast snap because you can see the lovely thank you card and little white chicken the tradies gave me as we said goodbye Ivy's eggs on ham on toast with the usual brew in the recently purchased Alfred Meakin marigolds teacup.
