Just be careful. Remember things like Cocci & worms live in the soil & eating off the ground is one way chooks pick these things up. It's not like they're wild & always moving onto fresh ground. It's one reason for those expensive feeders we all invest in.

Theoretically there's not the same build up of poop as there is in a run. Poop, damp soil, humidity = trouble. & I see MJ has reached the same conclusion. Tax:

That looks lovely:drool, and so civilized. I have some lovely milk jugs too but I don't take milk.

Maybe when I unpack everything after the new kitchen is built I'll just put out a milk jug for decoration. 😁
