MJ's little flock

That looks lovely:drool, and so civilized. I have some lovely milk jugs too but I don't take milk.

Maybe when I unpack everything after the new kitchen is built I'll just put out a milk jug for decoration. 😁
I'd like to see them. Maybe you could use them for extra hot water in case your brew is too strong?

Maybe when they come to remove it you could ask the guys to cut you some logs? Mine love jumping up and down off logs - I have a lot about 2' long that stand on end. And when I move them there are usually bugs underneath so it is a double benefit.
Actually a triple benefit because they double up as seats for me.
In the end one of the firies dragged a branch around to the funrun for me, what a gem.

The hens have 8 or so logs already, but they'll be needing more once the roost is constructed.

nice of it to not fall on the house
The neighbours still haven't got their power back. I'm worried they might be too cold. I offered hot showers last night but I think they're too shy to accept. I'll get a little pushier with them and see if they give in.

I get this... but no matter what... or where or how they live they will eat and pick at the dirt... my coop stays mostly dry but with all this rain they will dig in the corners until water flows so they can drink from the mud puddles.. there’s no way to stop them.. I throw all treats onto the ground for them...

Speaking of treats I buy soft Timothy hay for the bunny... and I give bunches to the gals...they love it and they are getting some greens since they have devoured every bit of green from their yard.
Yes, but keeping feed of the ground in high poop areas helps prevent disease, that's all. I've got a little paranoid with so many birds now. The poop build up is phenomenal!

Borrowing bathrooms is awkward ~ as someone who's had to do it. How much hot water can one acceptably use? Then one must remember the loofa, the wash, the shampoo & conditioner, a good sized towel... it becomes quite the marathon 🤣
