MJ's little flock

I'm a traitor.

I've been deservedly slashed and bitten.

I had to terrify her with shouting before I could put her in her box.

The same box she has treats in every single day. No treats today, she's having bloods done during her senior cat day stay.

I think she's done a wee in there and it serves me right.

Hey friends, do you have a hen who clacks her beak as she walks along?

Peggy does and I'm wondering how odd she is. As she walks by, I hear her little beak going clack clack clack.
She’s not trying to swallow excess liquid in her mouth, is she? That’s what River’s been doing. Maybe check her crop to make sure it’s functioning properly.

I'll check. She just had her check-up on the weekend and Mark said she was doing great, but I check her crop next chance I get.

Oh dear. I feel bad for both of you.
I know exactly what you mean about feeling like a traitor. My vet has started giving me gabapentin to give to the cats before they come in to the vet - it doesn't knock them out but certainly makes them more chill about the whole thing.
You might ask them about that.
I don't love giving them drugs but one of mine was so terrified of going in the car that he always had copious diarrhea before I even got out of the drive. It has solved that problem thank goodness.
