Super cute hanging basket brackets for holding the roost up in the roosting box!!

Before you ask, so far I've had time to paint only one timber because both work and social life have been hectic.

That is so very adorable! This is going to be a beautiful roost!

Got it. Good idea. I used salvaged brackets for roosts but they are all shelf brackets and the roost is instead of the shelf.
It took me many hours of sanding off the rust and then painting but I am happy with the result.

I had a dream last night that Edwina came into the house and jumped on the bed trying to wake me up. She pooped everywhere too.

I recall you were the one who suggested shelf brackets! When I saw the chicken themed hanging basket brackets I knew it would work just as well.

Ha! A hawk just smashed into the chicken run with a loud thud, like it was a brick wall. It wasn't after the hens, it was trying for a pigeon. That's one hawk learned it can't get through! I hope it spreads the word.

Peggy had the hens on high alert until a flock of sulphur crested cockies flew by. They're relaxing now.

It was a great test of the run, which shows no impact at all. I'd have thought the wire would be dented, but no, it's good as new.
