I love any shot of Ivy.
They are very nice.I'm very happy with the new gates. There were a couple of small jobs that couldn't be done today because of the rain. So they'll be back to do those soon.
This first shot gives an idea of how high the gates are.

And this second shot shows how unlevel the driveway is.

If the hens squeeze underneath, I'll just have to add some chicken wire or something until I get the driveway re-paved.
I was surprised at how much safer I felt.Good morning/evening MJ and everyone
The gates look great, another level of comfort and protection for you and the girls.
They mostly stayed out of the rain, but had a great time bug hunting. They did lots of 'look what I found' chittering, which is always very sweet. Are your ladies enjoying the rain MJ?
The dogs are all quite large, knee high or larger, so I'm confident there will be fewer doggy visits. Those look like they will certainly keep dogs out.
I particularly like the point of Peggy's toe in that shot, but Ivy's foot inspection is also very charmingI love any shot of Ivy.![]()
Thanks Bob! It's a treat to have gates that open with a remote control! It'll feel like Christmas for months and months. They are very nice.![]()
Thanks! They don't match the fence, but they do match the brick pillars of the front verandah. I like the colour because it's shadowy, which keeps the gates from being an overstatement.Love the new gates! So happy they are finally in & you feel safer.
I love that sound! They mostly stayed out of the rain, but had a great time bug hunting. They did lots of 'look what I found' chittering, which is always very sweet.
I don't think we'll have rain today, but 7.6mm fell yesterday and overnight.
