MJ's little flock

That is an awful thought!
I got up at 4:30am this morning to go check crops. Maggie has had diarrhea for a while but her poop got a clean bill of health from the vet and it is improving on its own. Then yesterday Dotty also had diarrhea that looked like Minnie's did when her crop was stuffed up.
I pulled Dotty off the roost to have a good feel around. She was not happy, but her crop was nice and empty. Then I felt everyone else's crop while they stayed on the roost. All empty.
As I was getting ready to go into the Chicken Palace, donning my headlamp etc. I kept hearing a half crow. Do chickens have nightmares? I think someone was crowing in their sleep!
Is it possible the hens are eating the chick's crumbs and it's upset their digestion?

There are a few hens in the neighbourhood who put out a sort of half crow. Mary did it for a while, but the champion is Essy the big hen up the street. I heard her a moment ago. Of course, we've got Rocky the rooster up the street too (he lives at a different house to Essy), and then there's another half-crowing hen down the street.

In their sleep? Everyone was still sound asleep when this was happening.

I don't think so. I gave them chick feed when they were molting and it was fine and right now they get just a very few spilled crumbs. I am mystified.
Well, it's good to know their crops are not blocked.

I wonder why two hens have the trots while the other two are ok 🤔 but it's not coincident, is it? It's one after the other.

Mary has had very loose poop lately, but i haven't been worried about it because usually is loose while she moults.
