I didn't get to see it last night because I was chatting on the phone, but the night before, they were flying from the branch to the level below the top shelf and then hopping up to the top shelf. Clever chookies

No, for two reasons. One, I’d have to get rid of any inevitable cockerels and two, I’d be heartbroken if anything happened to the chicks.

I'm going to put the ladder in the pullets room and put a couple of branches between the top level of the cat tower and the ladder. I don't like to think of them sleeping all night with their feet flat. I hope they'll be more comfy holding onto a branch.

There's nothing like a fresh bale to pick at for distracting little pullets from shiny and scary ladders with huge teeth and claws.

How long will it be before the pullets roost on the top step of the ladder? One night? 5 minutes? Something like that.
